Data tables can be used in dropdown questions whereby the values in the data tables are shown as options in the dropdown questions. Dropdown tables can be stand alone or linked, when linked the first dropdown table value determines the option in the second dropdown table. In the menu under the "Tools" you find the Data tables option, when selected you see the data tables options as shown in figure 1. How to use the data tables in the dropdown questions see the dropdown questions tutorial.

Creating data tables
When creating data tables you have the option to create data tables that are linked and data tables that are not linked. In this tutorial we define the not linked data table Colors with a list of colors and the linked data tables Province, District and City whereby each District has a parent Province and each City a parent District. How this is done is shown in figure 2, as you can see for the linked tables the District table has the parent table Province and the City table the parent table District. The Colors table is not linked and has no parent table, also the Colors values do not have a parent value.
